Class & Registration Policies

Please review all policies in the text and links (red buttons) below. By signing our waivers when enrolling, you agree that you have read and understood all of our policies upon registration.

Payment & Registration

 Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Card Payments: Visa, Discover, or Mastercard.
  • Alternative Payments: Check or cash (contact us by email immediately after registration for further instructions).

 

Payment Submission & Due Dates:

  • Initial Payment: Payment must be submitted by the first class to participate (unless doing a trial class, contact us first).
  • Card on File: All families are required to keep a card on file, regardless of payment method. If payment is not received by the due date (first class for recreational students, 15th of each month for team participants), the card on file will be charged.
  • Late Payments: If payment is not received on time, a $10.00 late fee is applied, and late payments after two weeks will result in your child being removed from the class until payment (including fees) is made.


 Registration Fees:

  • Annual Fee: Registration fees are charged yearly, from September to August. New and returning clients are charged the full fee in the Fall, with prorated amounts for later registrations. This fee is non-refundable and cannot be applied to future years.


 Returned Payments & Declined Cards:

  • Returned Checks: A $15.00 fee will be added for any returned checks.
  • Declined Cards: If a card is declined, a $10.00 processing fee will be added to the balance. Ensure your card details are up to date.


 Refund & Credit Policy:

  • No Refunds: There are absolutely NO REFUNDS that are provided for registration, tuition, or any other fees (including for missed classes, parties, privates, etc.).
  • Credits for Injury: In case of a serious injury, credits or makeup classes may be issued with a doctor's note. The amount of the credit will depend on the doctor's note.
  • Returned Payments: Any returned payments will incur a $15.00 fee, deducted from the total balance.

Class Enrollment & Attendance

 Full Session Commitment:

  • By enrolling in a class, you commit to the entire session and are responsible for all payments due, regardless of attendance.


 Class Registration & Waitlist:

  • First Come, First Served: A child's spot in class is only reserved once the registration form and payment are received.
  • Waitlist: If a class is full, you can add your child to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you.
  • Class Changes: Children must attend the class time they are registered for. If you wish to switch classes, you must contact the office for approval.
  • Multi Class Discount (One student wants two or more classes a week): 10% off second class, 20% off third or more class 
  • (if registered after first week, percentage discount is taken AFTER prorate).
  • Sibling Discount: 5% off tuition for second child, 10% off tuition for three or more children.
  • Rutgers Employee/Student Discount: +5% off tuition with valid RU ID. When registering, please make a note that you are a Rutgers affiliate, and email a copy of your RU ID to scarletknightsgymnastics@gmail.com PRIOR to payment. This will have to be done annually. If RU ID is received after payment, discount cannot be applied.
  • Multi-class and sibling discounts are taken from the class with the lowest cost.


Class Minimums & Cancellations:

  • Minimum Enrollment: A minimum of three children is required for each class. If the class does not meet this minimum, it may be canceled or combined with another.
  • Class Cancellation: If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you will be contacted and your child may be moved to another class.


Missed Classes & Make-Ups:
If your child misses a class, please refer to our "Missed Class & Make-Up Policies" for details.


Trial Classes:

  • Non-Obligatory Trial: You may attend one trial class with no obligation to continue. If you decide to enroll after the trial, payment for the  classes (including the trial class) and the registration fee will be due.

Payment Plans

Availability & Agreement:
If you cannot pay the full balance upfront, contact us to discuss available payment plans. Payment plans are handled on a case-by-case basis and require a signed agreement.


Session Commitment with Payment Plans:
Clients using payment plans are still committed to the entire session and responsible for all payments due, even if they miss classes.


Late Payments on Payment Plans:
Payments must be received on time. Late payments will incur a $10.00 late fee per week. Clients with frequent late payments may lose payment plan privileges.

Weather & Cancellations

Stay Informed:
For weather-related cancellations, check our social media (Facebook or Instagram @skgymacademy) and your email. Be sure to add scarletknightsgymnastics@gmail.com to your address book to avoid missing updates.


Cancellation Notifications:

  • Weekdays: Cancellations will be announced by 3:30 PM.
  • Saturdays: Cancellations will be announced by 8:30 AM (or earlier).
  • If you don’t receive any notification by these times, classes will proceed as scheduled.


Make-Up Classes:
Any cancellations due to weather or other issues will result in a makeup class being scheduled.
